Zoom and See used. The first session we have will allow you to explore your needs and hopes from counselling. There is a brief intake interview, where I will take details and address any safety issues which may be present. I will support you in a way that best suits you, whether it is with a CBT, person centered or psychodynamic approach. I will be along side you as you talk about what has brought you to counselling and will work with you to get the best outcome for yourself. It can sometimes be helpful to start with a block of 6 sessions and see how that feels and then either have another block of 6 or take some time away from counselling to process what has changed for you. It may be that 6 sessions is enough, but you could still have monthly or 2 monthly check-ins. Working on endings is also really important, and in this work we would look at how you can keep yourself safe and have access to resources that will support you when challenges and triggers are present.
