I am in the final stages of a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and have been working successfully with clients for the last six years in a variety of settings, including the NHS, as well as my own private practice. Having also been a qualified teacher for the last eighteen years, I have worked extensively with young people and families of various backgrounds on issues such as exam and performance stress, self esteem and assertion, emerging sexuality issues, peer pressure, and teenager/adult conflict. I have a special interest in developmental psychology - how we change across the life cycle, the role of biology as we age, and the psychosocial factors that either aid or inhibit our development. My research is in midlife and family relationships and I work with individuals, couples and families on a range of issues, including sexuality and family tensions. Fees start at £50. Feel free to contact me for an informal chat.
